Group Exhibit - Unnoticed

For our group exhibit, we wanted to focus on the normally unnoticed parts of visiting a museum, by creating a museum exhibit - without the exhibit.

British Museum Visit - 27/09/10

Looking at the methods of displaying exhibits at the museum as well as the way the labels are presented.

Individual Museum Exhibit

After collecting things on our walk from the Tate to Southwark Cathedral, we had to create a museum exhibit on a chair with it's theme stemming from our ideas and the things we'd found. I decided to create a vase with a pattern based on the Thames, as it linked well with the walk we'd done along the South Bank.

Julian Opie

Dave, Drummer. Damon, Singer. Graham, Guitarist. Alex, Bassist. (2000)
This is the piece of work I've decided to look at for the Review we have to write - I saw the prints by Julian Opie at the National Portrait Gallery. Having bought the "Blur: Best Of" album, I'd seen this image before, but the prints had a really different effect hanging in a gallery. I found this really interesting, and along with the definitive style of Opie, I feel I have a lot to explore in my essay.
